Masters Contracting Pty Ltd have recently completed the Mechanical Services fit out of a mobile medical unit for the Australian Antarctic Division. The unit was designed to be installed on a ships deck for the duration of a voyage or transportable for shore based locations. Its capacity to serve as an operating theatre provides a higher level of medical capablity than is normally available on most ships. The Mechanical System installed reduces the entry of pollutants from the outside air by passing through carbon filters to remove particles and odour. Air is heated from temperatures as low as -20 to +20 degrees. The warm air passes through HEPA filters to remove microscopic pollutants before circulating through fabric ducting. A heated, filtered water system was also installed to provide water to scrub units. |
